Now that I would love to see!

It is sad that industry consolidation has resulted in the death (or near death) of so many storied brands. It's sad that Piaggio hasn't provided more support and allowed the different brands to seek their own identity.
Piaggio bought Derbi in the early 2000s. I think they had a lot to do with Derbi doing some of their finest work. 2006/7 had Derbi producing some amazing bikes. But Honda killing the MotoGP 125 class really hit Derbi hard. They didn't have the diversity that Aprilia has, and that made their survival difficult. As long as they were winning in the 125 GP arena Derbi could win the hearts of the young riders. This sold bikes, but they really didn't have a lot of options with Moto3.

On another stroker foro I was posting my clocks and soon someone offered to hook me up with something even better. It took me a long time to scrounge up the funding. Eventually I did, and well this showed up.

I have a bit of a diversion going on. I needed to get something that could do some miles on the Super Slab. Due to high standard set by these goofy Replicas I found it incredibly difficult to find something that came up to at least the standards set my by Black bike. It's amazing how hard this task was due to me being so spoiled. Ultimately though I did find something.

It's sad, but I specifically bought this bike to have something on which to commute. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I looked and looked and looked for something smaller than a liter that was as least as nice as my 05 GPR. It seems like no one wants to build a
nice bike in the mid range.
I still have yet to ride it. It's a bit rainy around here. Hopefully this week will bring some dry weather. Eventually I'll put some nice commuting tires on it like the Michelin Pilot Road 4. They are multi-compound with a hard center, and soft sides. Ed has these on his RSV4 and finds they actually perform quite nicely. Richard runs them on his Yammie, and gets a decent number of miles out of them.

Just got this link from Scotty Dog! Oh my is this cool. Now the newer versions of the Euro3 come with this built in, but the early ones don't have it, and the Euro 2s never had it either. MetraKit did make something like this, and I have one installed on the 45mm stroke engine. This is a really nice upgrade!

Google translation:
In 50cc with box the Derbi engines are reputed to be the best performers. However, they still have a weakness in the transmission when one starts to have a motor a little more advanced. In fact, the clutch bell pinion undergoes high pressures and the friction with the ring creates a deformation of the latter. As a result the bell remains blocked with the box shaft. This type of mounting on a needle cage thus prevents friction and therefore wear on the ring. Derbi has been aware of this problem and since 2014 they also use this type of assembly in original equipment. The Racing clutch bell gear has needle cages of 20x26x12 for high resistance.

The parts are coming in...these are mostly for the 899, but the stripper is for the 05's wheels.

I probably wouldn't have ordered this kit so soon if the 77cc versions were available. But because they were not, and the price of this one was skyrocketing I opted to get it now. This is the 88cc 45mm stroke 50mm bore Stage6 Big Racing kit. Should be lots of fun.

I have way too many projects going on! I wasn't even intending to work on this bike for quite sometime either. The plan was to wrench on this bike after GPR Camp, but I couldn't get the 77cc versions of this kit so I kind of punted those plans for now, and ordered the 88cc version. Tonight I finally got started on the prep for this one. I've a long ways to go, but these photos are fun.
