I'm amazed that I ran at all. This top end suffered a seizer—probably when it was run without water. It doesn't take much time for it to over heat. If the bore didn't get messed up you might be able to get by with a piston kit. Looks like you have a size A cylinder, so if you order a piston kit then get size A.

Can anyone find a new top end kit? Even the piston Kits are sold out for 3 weeks now :(

I ordered my italkit and some other stuff too from this site. They are fast. I mean i had some problems but that wasnt their fault.. just the italkit was a total a...hole... altough i paid twice as much. But this way i didnt need to wait that much. They have some nice discounts too sometimes. Pretty good website. You can find rare stuff here too :p

Tonight ill start cleaning the bottom end up with removing all of the copper sealant for a fresh start. Does anyone have a product that works well at removing it ? ie petrol, carb cleaner, oil? WD40 for example. thanks

Brake cleaner should work. If not well, just a blade will work.

Well A little victory today... the Koso voltmeter and temp sensor came.. could have done with this a week ago. Purchased them from maxiscoot for 82.88 euros.

I had a look at the wiring diagrams in the forum but none matched so undid the back of the ignition key and tested the voltage.. on this one its green you need.

The Koso kit came with a midway connection kit but adding two of these would look rough so decided to thread them up into the back of the ignition and solder the wires there.

I was looking for a place to ground out on the frame near the ignition and so you could turn handle bars without pulling any wires. The bolts holding the plastic ignition made contact with the frame. I tested if there were conductive and they were. Just enough wire...

Apart from the red connector you wouldn't notice it was there.

Third time lucky!!!!

The metrakit arrive fromDamsport for 223.00 euros including postage which is far better than the previous one.

This Time I went to the dealer to fit the piston in..It took him 2 seconds.. The trick was just using lots of grease.. This was my failure !!!

Putting it back together took no time at all.. quite familiar with it now.

It started with the electric start first time after the fuel got fuel. The exhaust manifold wasn't on 100% right so had to take the exhaust off again. Second time perfect. I now can confirm that it was the piston rings that messed it up and it should have been as easy as this the first time.

Doing the heat cycles now and its much easier with the Koso dials keeping the eye on the temperature.

Thanks guys for all of your support trying to get to the bottom of this one.
