eBay: 2002 Aprilia RS50 RS 50 - $1500 (Dallas)

Post by toratora » Thu Jul 26, 2018 9:39 pm

Image
This is a 2002 Aprilia RS50, with clean Texas title and 1870 miles. This is a full size motorcycle with a 50cc two stoke engine and electric start. This bike does have an upgraded CDI, Arrow exhaust, and a newer kill switch. As you can see from the pics the bike is a little rough around the edges, it does start and run, but its going to need some carb tuning before it can be daily ridden. It is a fun bike to ride, shifts good, and gets a lot of attention.

2009 Aprilia RS125 2-stroke. As new. Only 425 miles. Imported to the US only 1 year. I purchased it from GP motorcycles. After market Arrow pipe. Includes the stock pipe as well. Super fun bike. Take on and beat the Ninja 250's on the track. I've taken it to both Apex and Chuckwalla.

Track bike. Bill of sale only. $4,500.

Yeah there's nothing Yamaha about this bike except maybe the rear brake...

To say that this bike has been beat to fuck would be kind. It might be useful as a parts bike, but it would take a lot of effort to bring it back.

The engine appears to be the EBE075. The rear brake is from some sort of dirt bike, and the stock caliper mount is missing. The front brake line is from something else. The wiring harness looks sketchy. Obviously the faux tank is totally fuxored, and there is no front farings or mounts. The oil/water tank isn't properly mounted which isn't a good sign. Some other silencer has been glommed on. The tail light, pillion seat, and all of the locks are missing. At least one foot peg is messed up to some degree. The triples have been drilled ostensibly to mount motocross bars. In addition to being garbage the chain is too tight which could cause serious damage to the transmission.

I could probably go on for a few pages, but that should be plenty to illustrate that this isn't a "nice" bike. Poor little GPR. :(
Hey have a nice derbi 50 cc 2 stroke for sale

^ Really sad to see it get to that point.

Who would really put "nice" in the ad?

Craig's: 2000 Derbi GPR50 - $2700 (Downtown WPB)

There's a lot to like about this bike starting with the rare livery in the States. The year is either a 98, or 99. In 2000 Derbi went to a different livery that one usually sees with these GPRs. Also, this isn't a 50 it's the 75, which is both nice, and troublesome at the same time. Nicer to ride, because of the added performance, but harder to find top ends when it comes time for service.

And of course they had to jank up the bike. There are holes drilled in the faring—looks like they thought the factory didn't know how to properly design airflow. The bike has been repeatedly crashed creating rash, and bending up the upper fairing stay. The faux tank latch is incorrectly installed. At the very least they should have put the serrated washer on the inside instead of on the paint side. The helmet basket is missing, goofy indicators have been installed to replaced the stock ones that were probably broken in the crashes. The forks have been messed with, and it looks like it actually has the original tires.

Still it's mostly complete, and does feature the Blue on black Racing Emotion livery, and that's to be prized in these days.
The Spanish motorcycle maker Derbi (Derivative of Bicycle) has a rich racing history with numerous 50cc class World Championships. This 245-pound, 49cc, 2-stroke is considered a "mini sportbike" by the racing community, and a moped by most legal qualifications.

What makes it an excellent driver is the liquid cooled motor and flexible 6-gear transmission. The GPR50 features a Showa inverted fork and mono-shock, front and rear disc brakes, a full fairing (showing hints of road rash), oil-injection, and an electric starter. The fuel tank is hidden beneath the pillion portion of the sub frame with a concealed and lockable compartment in front of the rider—large enough for a helmet. There is simply no sportier motorcycle at this displacement. Only 4,467 km showing.

$2,700.00

Fairly rare Aprilia RS50 for sale. They didn't bring many of these over to the US. Basically, it's a full size sportbike with a revvy 50cc two stroke engine and a 6 speed gearbox. In stock form they are capable of over 60mph

I picked it up about 6 months ago as a project and never really got around to it. It was having carb issues, so I bought an upgrade carb (a Dellorto 21mm). I got it to run on the new carb, but couldn't get the throttle cable to work, and from there it kind of sat. I also sorted out a few electrical issues I noticed, changed the coolant, changed the plug. It wouldn't take much work from here to get running. Currently it's torn down to access the carb area, but all parts and bodywork are included.

Have a title, text is best.
