What is Derbi De Mayo? It's an annual San Francisco Bay Area riding event focused on Replica Minis like the Derbi GPR, and Aprilia RS50. Other bikes are welcome as well if they are in the same general class of bike. For instance a Senda, MB5, YSR/NSR50 etc. Big bikes are frowned upon! Check out the videos for inspiration.

Rain!!!

Looks like we are going to have to push the date out due to rain.

Most likely the reschedule will be Sunday the 22nd.

Speedy wont ride if the roads are damp. Doesn't want to risk binning it. The rain stopped mid-day and if it stays dry I might go for a spin on the Malossi to see how it does. But then I've so much to do on the Black bike that I might just keep wrenching too.

Part of the thing is when we do these rides they are spirited. So it's best that the conditions be good too. Pushing it in the rain isn't all that smart. But a bike set up for the rain could be a lot of fun. I don't really mind riding in the rain, but I do ride to the conditions, which means I slow down a lot in the rain.
