Re: New blankets for the bikes

Post by benito brz » Fri Jul 31, 2020 10:43 am

Hello everyone, sadly I do not have any garage so my bikes need to be protected
So i've bought them some blankets :starry:

Also it was leaking some brake liquid out of the master cylinder, so i changed it and also the liquid, then the bike brakes so much better

Re: Some Diagnostic for the Aprilia !!

Post by benito brz » Fri Nov 13, 2020 10:32 am

Hello everyone
I wanted to know what was wrong with my bike so I ordered some diagnostic cables and installed "guzzi diag" on the computer of my brother, "guzzi diag" also works for aprilia, you may just have the same diagnostic type than a moto guzzi bike, you have to choose the correct model.

So There was 5 problems detected on my bike

Image

I writed them in french on a paper
So I have a problem with my fuel injector, the ignition coil, my radiator fan isnt working and I didn't notice I had one :-D , also the sensor based on my exhaust has a problem ( just dont know the name in english), and finally my injection calculator has a problem.

Re: Braking on steel is cool but no longer

So I changed the brake pads because they were completely dead, the disc is still in a good shape.

Here are the new pads

Sadly they aren't the good ones, there is 2 types of rear brake pads for aprilia rs4

So I ordered the good ones

I've also noticed my bike was making a strange noise while braking, like it was the front suspension wich had some issues.
I've seen this, I need your opinion

At first I thought it looked like the casting was cracked, but looking closer it seems that there is corrosion under the coating that cracked the coating off. The dark areas are corrosion.

To repair it completely you would need to remove it from the cycle, media blast the piece (masking the tubes) and completely remove all signs of corrosion, then paint or coat it.
