Hello,

This is my introduction thread/new post.

I am sure many people who frequent the apriliaforum are familiar with my username, as I am a long time poster there.

My name is Matt, and I live in Saint Petersburg, Florida, USA. I am an engineer by formal education and career, a hobbyist two-stroke motorhead, and an amateur wannabe chef.

I owned my first RS50 in 2009, and after riding it, and having some gearbox troubles(who woulda thought, lol) I decided I wanted to put a 125cc two stroke engine into the little 50's chassis.

I accomplished that with the first ride of my "RMV125" in February of 2013, and between home ownership and other bikes, I've spent the last six and a half years constantly working to improve this bike to be the best it can be.

In 2014 I built a second RMV125 for my dad, and we have enjoyed these bikes on both kart/mini tracks and full size tracks. Just this year, a buddy I met at a local kart track decided to build a 3rd after seeing the well sorted 125's having a blast at the kart track, and another riding/boating/cold beverage consuming buddy Adam decided to build a 4th. So now at this point I guess you could say the bikes are a thing, I guess!

Anyway I love the small bikes, I have a blast riding them, and thought I would finally sign up on here. Thanks Rob for the great forum support.

Nice to see you’ve made it. We are working very hard to make this a great place for these little bikes. :paw_prints:

Welcome Matt!

It would great to hear more about your conversions if you have info/photos and the time, start a new thread.

I know there are others here that would enjoy seeing how you did it.
