An important item for moto riders is ear protection. Wind noise, and bike noise can cause harmful effects on the ear.

M Moto Plugs
Made specifically for motorsports the EarPeace M moto plugs features a hypoallergenic reusable silicon ear piece, three different levels of filtration, an aluminum bi-chamber case, and a third plug on the off chance that one of the plugs is lost.

The M plug is a hollow unit in which one of three filters is installed. These three filter sets allow for adjustments to various conditions, or needs.

The clear medium filters are rated at SNR 17/NRR 11. EarPiece suggests this filter for events like rehearsals, dance events, movies, and such.

The Red high filter is rated at SNR 20/NRR 14, but it will actually let more sound pass through at 8K than the clear medium filter. The Red filters are suggested for live concerts, and festivals.

The Max black filters offer the most protection rated at SNR 26/NRR 19. The black filter is actually more of a solid plug than a filter, and it provides the best protection of the three at 8K. These are suggested for stage work, and sleeping. Oddly enough none of the suggestions mention which filter works best for motorcycle riding.

One of the heralded features is the dual flange design. Most ear plugs of this style will incorporate three flanges. EarPeace claims that the dual flange is more comfortable, and less likely to damage an ear due to over insertion.
