Hi all, when my bike was at the shop, the put it on the dyno and it achieved 8bhp at the rear wheel at 10k rpm The guy in the shop said that's awesome for a 2 stroke 50cc. I went home and checked the spec online at it says factory is 8.8bhp. My engine is the end/ebe 50 engine with a airsal 50cc tech piston top end kit, 13t front and 53 rear Just wanted to know what engine you have, power out put and if 8bhp is a decent power output. Thanks

I haven't had mine dyno tested, but keep in mind that all dynos are going to read slightly differently, especially at the low end of the scale.

Jetting and temperature are also going to make a significant difference with a small 2-stroke, so it's going to be hard to compare accurately.

Did they graph the air/fuel mixture? That (jetting) would be something to consider if you felt there were improvements to be made.

Most HP ratings are based on power at the crank before the transmission, and drive chain. If you are getting that close to the factory specs that's really good.

The times I've put bikes on the dyno I've seen as low as 6.5hp (with my track bike, but the ignition was messed up at the time), 12.5hp (with the PMPR), and almost 19hp with an Airsal Xtreme.
