Kofun Low Profile GoPro Session 4 and 5 Mount

GoPro’s Session series of cameras create a unique opportunity to mount a tiny camera. To this ends having a mount for this camera that reduces the mounted camera’s profile is a wanted accessory. The Session cameras do come with a low profile mount, but if you pick up a used, or refurbished camera it might not include the mount. There are a number of Chinese Brand units available up on Amazon. I decided to give this Kofun unit a try.

It came packaged in a thin cardboard box in a thin plastic bag. The box was a bit crushed, but thankfully the mount showed up undamaged. There are three pieces included. The cage, the foot, and the screw.

With the low profile mount the camera can sit quite low. By locating the attachment point to the back of the case rather than at the bottom enables this ability. Even while in the case access to the memory card is still provided.

Compared to the Standard GoPro mount for the Session the Low Profile mount significantly reduces the over all silhouette. The plastic quality, and fit and finish is also lower than the GoPro brand. Still for $6 delivered the Kofun low profile mount is quite impressive, and should provide years of service.

I'm working on a mount for a front-looking GoPro to fit inside the 'fake' ram air ducting out the front of the RS50 ... this may be just the thing !
