I've also noticed my bike was making a strange noise while braking, like it was the front suspension wich had some issues.
I've seen this, I need your opinion

At first I thought it looked like the casting was cracked, but looking closer it seems that there is corrosion under the coating that cracked the coating off. The dark areas are corrosion.

To repair it completely you would need to remove it from the cycle, media blast the piece (masking the tubes) and completely remove all signs of corrosion, then paint or coat it.

Yes the coating is crackling but I dont know if the part is crackling behind, Can we change this part or is it the complete tube ? Maybe its cheaper than fixing it and coating it again, because I cant do the coating myself.
I also use the Aprilia everyday to go to work and school so this is why there is some corrosions, and she's not in a perfect state because I dont have any garage and I'm sad about that.
I know we can change this part on showa forks but I dont know for this one.
Thanks for your help jkv

You can clean it up and repaint to at least temporarily stop the corrosion. Mask the tube and sand the corrosion and the remaining coating until it no longer has an edge or has any corrosion showing. Prime lightly, then repaint with silver.

I think that will hold it for a while without complete disassembly.

Hello everyone, i've went on a trip in "Vendée" in France with my bike and some friends during december, it was 400km long to go there so we had a 7 hours of road under the rain at 120km/h on the highway, it was very tiring, and then after a week we came back. So I decided it was time to do the oil change.

Image

And of course with new filters

Image

Also with some oil in my airbox wich didnt surprised me because I was at 11000 rpm during 7 hours on the highway.
But the aprilia didnt broke down during this trip.

Image

I also broke my clutch cable maybe because it was too dry and it was too cold outside, so I changed it.
