Do you guys know any "cheap" shops, where you can buy high quality oil(like motul 800)
Cant really find a good site for buying oil in high quantity.

RMP SM Project: Make Mine Motul

Motul 800 is expensive. I bought a gallon a few years ago on Amazon for about $60 ($57.33). It's now $61 (shipping included), but it's the dirt version, not the road version.

Also, when Treats has their sales you can get it for as much as 20% off. However, they don't sell the gallon size of the 800.

Amazon also has the Redline racing 2T for slightly less than the Motul ($60).

I've used both Redline and Motul 800, and I like the Motul 800 Road Race the best.

I had corrosion issues with the Redline where fuel in the floatbowl started to corrode the jets and jet holder. That's with non-ethanol gas. Others had mentioned corrosion issues on internal steel parts as well.

The Motul has not done the same.

Motul 800 RR worth the price IMO.

Thank you guys for the info. Yes I like the motul 800 the best. Tried a few oils, but I had the best results with motul. Here in Hungary 17€ is 1L Motul 800. Kinda pricy, but I think its worth it.

Problems, Problems and Problems

Managed to mill up the cases for the modified cylinder.

The milled cases

So first of all, as you can see on the pics we can't really mill it up even more. Managed to mill 4 holes on the engine but its got sealed up with Autoweld CX-80.
After a few hours of shouting unsocialized words, I changed the cylinder mounting screws.

The screws punched through the cases again so there was a big big hole... again....
Again after a few hours of shouting hungarian swearing words, I sealed up the holes with the same metal 2 compound epoxy.

I'm kinda sad about what did happen and what didn't. As on the cylinder side, there is a lot more space to mill out for better performance. But as on the crankcase side, there is no more. If I mill down like 1mm there will be a 1cm by 2cm big hole on the cases.
I'm kinda sad.

Nice to see it coming together. Too bad it went through the cases. Why did you feel the need to open it up so much? Wont this reduce the Bernoulli effect?

RMP SM Project—Rieju MRT Pro: Pros and Cons

Post by kaldis12 » Sun Dec 30, 2018 5:54 am

In one word, it will. BUT I have kinda a big carb for it(30mm which is propably too small) so with a bigger carb its more controllable. Also I took a look at the cylinder ports, they are kinda shit(stock), but managed to mill it up a littlebit. I would propably say that it gave a good 3-4hp to the cylinder. The ports and the ports at the skirt ( sorry dont know its name) should match in sizes. Now they have the same sizes, so milled up the cases for it. But because the cases are too small it cant be milled up completly for the cylinder.(that what happens at the Parmakit 110, it should be in the 30-40hp range but its in the 25hp range.) So now as it is the cases have smaller sizes than the cylinder.

I put a littlebit of size decreasing stuff at the reed block. So the Bernoulli effect is stronger.
Just putted a blob of CX-80 there. ( on both case halves)

I hope its understandable, my english is not that perfect sorry :D

Guys,
It is the time for the first start.

There are still some carburation problems, but I got this exhaust just for the test, so I wont tune the carb now. At the end of January we will make a custom exhaust for this so keep lookin' :D
