Difference between EBE050 and EBS050

I am in the process of building a race motor. I have found a set of cases that are marked EBS050. The crank I want to run only fits the EBE050 motor. My understanding is that the difference in the cranks is that the drive side is tapered on the EBS, but straight on the EBE. SO, I'm wondering if I can use the clutch drive gear from an EBE and use it with an EBE crank, all mounted in an EBS case set.

If that aint a mouthful!

Anyone tried mix and match among these different engines?

The taper and non-taper isn't between the EBE/EBS engines per se—it's between the GPR and Senda engines. The main difference between the EBE, and the EBS is the drive for the tach. On the EBE it is driven from a gear on the GPR engines. With the Senda they have an electronic tach, which the later EBS engines also employed for the GPR.

If you want to run a performance crank with a taper on a GPR you can do so. I have a tutorial with part numbers, and how to set the balancer.
