The 2001 is much more rare in the States, and it is also in much better condition. If you look at the two bikes you’ll notice many differences.

Craig's: Ultra rare 1988 Street Legal Yamaha DT50LC 6speed49ccEnduro dualsport - $2000

That’s right this is a rare find 49cc Yamaha 2 stroke street legal Enduro. I’ve owned it for about 20 years and it’s an amazing little dual sport. It will go 60mph at 11500 rpm down the freeway but I’ve only done that a few times. These don’t come up for sale very often only inported to North America from 1988 to 1990 it’s just had the new tags paid and pink is clean and in my name. I had two of these and sold one last year for $2000 so don’t bother low balling me. I just don’t ride it much anymore.

It’s liquid cooled and has a 6 speed transmission the seat has been reupholstered otherwise its bone stock. It’s super lightweight and easy to ride as long as you keep it on the pipe above 7000 RPM. It’s served me well and I used to rent it out to people who could not pass the DMV skills test on a bigger bike. Over an 18 month period of time I made $9000 and about 200 motorcyclist learned to ride on this bike. Beginners bike, business opportunity, dirt bike, campground cruiser, or just good old plane fun you don’t see to many of these on the road today. Blast from the past smoke them off the line in a plume of 2 stroke, they don’t make them like this anymore. Probably the funnest motorcycle I’ve ever owned. Call for more details please no texting it’s a land line.

1988 Yamaha DT50LC
condition: good
engine displacement (CC): 49
fuel: gas
odometer: 3350

2002 Derbi Senda SM
70cc Metrakit performance cylinder
21mm phbg carb
Gianelli performance expansion chamber exhaust
Newish metzler rear tire
brand new rear wheel bearings
Enduro engineering bark busters
Newer oring chain
New battery
Tachometer/temp gauge not working, blinkers intermittent.

This is a very rare bike, full size 50cc racing bike from spain. It was imported by a shop in westchester, i purchased it in Pensilvania from the second owner. This bike SCREAMS. Has been paced by motorcycles at 70mph. Please no tire kickers, or lowball offers. Know that this is an incredible rare, and collectible two stroke racing motorcycle. Absolutely no test rides without cash in my hand. The engine is a very peaky high high high revving 2 stroke with a 6 speed transmission.

Clean New York title in my name. Street legal and ready to roll.

Craig's: 2003 Derbi SM50 Super Moto 2-stroke 80cc - $1600 (Berkeley)

This is the same bike listed above, but apparently a different seller.
2003 Derbi SM50 Super Moto 2-Stroke

The good - Clean title, with non-op registration. 2246 miles. 80cc Polini top end with a Polini Exhaust. Starts first kick, idles, shifts through the gears. Could use some tuning. Tires good. Headlight works. Wiring still intact for signals/tail. Good base platform for a fun, street legal 2-stroke Super Moto. Oil injection system intact and working.

The bad - The previous fucking owner (possible tweaker) tried to swap in a YZ125 motor. When it didn’t fit, they put back in the stock engine and used their 1st-grade welding ability to make new motor mounts. They cracked of course and it appears that a JB weld attempt was made without success. The welds/mounts are quite possibly the ugliest/worst I’ve ever seen to the point where it’s actually impressive lol. You will need to fab/weld up new motor mounts + one exhaust mount. Photos tell the story.

I ended up scoring another stock Derbi SM50, so I’m building up that one. I've done nothing to the bike other than throw it on a trickle charger.

$1600 OBO. It’s a rare bike with a clean title / current reg / low miles and a Polini 80cc kit/exhaust. Same AM6 engine as the GPR50 and RS50. Ideal for someone into these bikes.

It’s pretty simple. If you’re serious, have cash and the ability to pick it up, please text me with a coherent message and I’ll be happy to make some time for you to come get it. Thank you.
