2004 Derbi GPR50 project bike—$1200 (Kansas)

I’m selling my 2004 GPR project. The frame has been cleaned up to be run with no bodywork and painted in satin black. I replaced the top end with a 70cc kit and installed a pollini carb and a foam Uni filter. I pressure tested the motor but I haven’t ever fired it. I installed a new clutch with stiffer springs. The fork was rebuilt to suit a 200lb rider, and the rear shock has a stiffer spring with preload adjustability. Brand new tires and battery. Airtech fiberglass “tank” is unattached but is super light and awesome. New NGK iridium plug and wire and a new water pump impeller. Brembo brake and clutch levers. Stainless steel brake lines. NOS fuel tank with a high density foam seating material applied directly to the tank and a brand new gold chain.
This bike is about 75% complete—the tank fairing needs to be attached and it needs instrumentation. I spent a bunch of money, and planned to take this to the track. I still think it would be a blast in that environment. I lost a good friend riding a while back and my enthusiasm for the sport is gone. I’ll take $1200 obo, and you cover shipping. That would be a steal consider the time, and money I’ve got in this beautiful little gem.

Happy to be of service. Sounds like Dangerous Dave is interested in the bike. He'd provide a great home for it.

It's very intriguing, but the 800 miles between us makes things a little tougher.

How about somebody make me an offer? If there are no takers by the end of the month, I’ll donate it to Kars for Kids!

Yeah, give me a few more weeks, if you can. It's a great looking bike, with (obviously) a lot of forethought, and craft put in it.
It would be my first GPR

Just bought a house, plus the IRS still owes me a return for this year.
Take it to the Kart Track

I for one would really like to see you ride the bike. All that effort deserves the reward of enjoying the bike.
