Craig's: 1982 Kawasaki AR80- 2 stroke - $600 (New Orleans)

1982 Kawasaki AR80/50 for sale. Yes there is a title and key. Imported to the USA one year only, but there's a bunch of parts on eBay UK.

https://www.mopedarmy.com/wiki/Kawasaki_AR50/80

It's an AR50 w the bigger head kit and gear sprocket upgrade offered. It ran in CA, was shipped here and sat in a garage for years, NEVER flooded. I desperately wanted to resurrect this baby but I won't get to it in a year or two now. There's one in beautiful shape online for sale at $2500. The tank paint is shot on this and needs to be resurrected but a medium to more skilled mechanic can get this guy rolling.
$600. NO LOWBALLING.
Bywater.

Do people really think the Aprilia RS 50s are worth $3000? Without a Title?

Looks like it's in nice shape, but most prices are way over what i would ever pay for one.

It's just a lost title adventure at the DMV—not really a big deal. The trend has been for the prices on these bikes to go up though. They are a diminishing resource, and the demand has remained about the same. 2005 was the last year bikes like these came into the country, and to date nothing similar, or even close has come in to replace them. The bikes do seem to sell though so the pricing can't be that far off. Compare it to other small bikes that you can buy here, and even at $5000 these would be a better deal.

Pricing in Europe is different because they never stopped selling them there. In Japan I paid big money (like new pricing) for the GPR, and it was in rough shape—that's still a sore spot for me though, as the bike I paid for was a different bike than the one that I got.

It is a big deal in WI. If it's a "lost Title" from the original owner it's not a big deal, but trying to get a new Title for a bike if you are not the actual owner is a mess.

I guess in some areas they are more common and practical, but not here from what I've seen. I see a few come up now and then, but not very often. Most likely not many were sold in this area.

I'd buy one for the right price, but it's nowhere near what I see people listing them for.

Craig's List Replica Postings: Titles

Post by toratora » Mon Jan 07, 2019 6:39 pm

The guy says he has the reg from the previous owner. Getting a lost title with that info shouldn’t be too difficult. Pain in the ass, yes, but doable. I’ve dealt with much worse! :grimacing:

One of the things about you though Jay is that you have skills bordering on a British restorer. They can bring a rust chip back to a showroom level museum piece. Most people can’t do that (I can’t), but they can spend a day or three at the DMV. :scream_cat:

FB: 2000 Derbi GPR 50 - $3,500 (Vero Beach, FL)

This bike is actually not a 2000 model. It's probably a 1998, or 1999. It's also not a 50cc. This is one of the GPR 75s, and it was previously posted on Craig's list. It looks like all the previously noted issuer remain.
Derbi GPR 50 two cycle, very rare. Very desirable. Very few where shipped to the us. Runs perfect. I think is a 80 cc model. First $3500 takes it. The price is firm. Don’t want to sell it but I found another toy I want.

Rides like new no issues.
